How to Delete Your Account (In App)
- Open the Genzes app and log in
- Go to your Profile → tap the Settings (gear) icon
- Scroll to Account status
- Tap Delete account permanently
- Verify with the OTP sent to your email or phone, then confirm deletion
This action is permanent. You cannot recover your account after deletion.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile (username, email, bio, avatar, phone number)
- All your posts, reels, and stories
- Your comments and direct messages
- Your notifications, saved content, and Genzes coins balance
- Your followers/following relationships
- Group memberships (groups you own may be transferred or removed)
- Task progress and referral records linked to your account
What May Be Retained
- Payment transaction records from Razorpay (required for legal/tax compliance) — stored without your profile once the account is deleted
- Anonymous or aggregated analytics that cannot identify you
Deactivate vs Delete
Deactivate (Settings → Account active toggle off) hides your profile temporarily.
You can log back in anytime to reactivate.
Delete permanently removes your account and data. This cannot be undone.
